The TCC is hosting the Stella Day Out mini literary festival in Ruffy. Spend the day immersed in thought provoking conversations with acclaimed Australian authors. A day to gather, connect, listen, discover and celebrate the joy of books and ideas. All Day, 31st October.

January 1 2027 New Years Day Family Picnic and Old fashioned Sports Day
Save this date and invite your family and friends to this re-creation of the famous “Boathole Sports”
A Ruffy tradition for many years the “sports” were held every New Years Day at the Boathole with locals competing in wheelbarrow races, sack races, egg and spoon races, nail driving and gumboot throwing competitions as well as sheaf tossing and pillow fights over the water! Sounds exciting and maybe slightly dangerous! Why not come along and join us for the safe 2027 version of this fun event at the Ruffy Recreation Reserve on New Years Day?
